In the first Mass Effect, the threat of synthetic Reapers was unveiled and thwarted, yet Shepard and his crew got discredited as the galaxy’s governments swiped the looming horrors of ancient robots under the rug. Supposedly killed in a mysterious attack, the Commander vanished for two years.
Now recruited into Cerberus — a ruthless organization devoted to humanity’s survival — Shepard is given a new ship and sent after those that attacked him in the first place — the Collectors. It’s the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced.
It is a direct sequel of the acclaimed Mass Effect 1 game released in 2007, and by many called one of the best games. Period. The action element is a tactical shooter, where you control your Commander Shepard and command your two squad mates, chosen at the beginning of each mission.
Mass Effect is also an epic space opera, telling the story of a diverse galaxy beset by internal conflicts. There’s also the most terrifying threat that both aliens and humans have ever seen. It takes the form of eldritch mechanical horrors from a bygone era. They want nothing less than complete eradication of all intelligent organic species.
Your job? A perilous mission into the centre of the galaxy. You have to strike at a mysterious new enemy – Collectors – and ensure human survival and the safety of all organic life. It’s a thrilling stand-alone adventure with an insane finale.
Taking on the Collectors won’t be an easy task. That’s why in Mass Effect 2, your Cerberus employer hands out dossiers on the most dangerous and eccentric individuals. Have fun convincing them for tagging along for what is widely known as suicide, a one-way trip, from which nobody ever came back.
If you do everything right, an attack on Collector’s base just might have a chance. And maybe, if you do your job, everyone will come back home.
Feel the stark contrast between poverty-ridden Omega – which is nothing more than an asteroid with refineries – and Citadel Station, the cultural gem of Citadel-controlled Space, with its gardens, law enforcement, fleet, and distinct cultures.
Space stations aren’t the only things you will visit. There are planet-spanning cities, jungles, AI-controlled facilities and other things to discover in the distant and deadly reaches of the galaxy.
You can choose between six classes for Shepard and this most perilous mission, that represent a mix, or pure approach to three archetypes:
There is a gun for everyone. Shotguns? Yup, from rapid fire to the likes that have one bullet and send people flying across the room.
You have peashooter pistols and those that one-shot if you hit the head. You have semi-auto rifles with satisfying THUNK-THUNK-THUNK, and those that literally go BRRRT through your enemies and your ammo. There’s even a sniper rifle that looks more like a hand-held cannon.
Not only that – you can use skills that burn and skills that freeze. There are skills for magical, reality-warping ammunition and those that fry your opponents’ brains. You can specialize in a walking tank or a one soldier army, spewing warp blasts like there’s no tomorrow.
Then there are heavy weapons. Goodness gracious, they don’t have a lot of ammo, but who cares! These range from rocket launchers, to particle rays, to ice cannons, to a LITERAL NUKE.

Had no issues with the key, the game is also very cool. I can recommend it for you.
The effect of this mass was really overwhelming. But in all seriousness, this is probably my favorite game when it comes to the oldschool RPG titles. I also very much enjoyed Jade Empire, but yeah, this was high on my list as well. I have recently checked out the whole trilogy and it is still kicking. Great stuff, really. I enjoyed this game greatly once more and will recommend this to you as well. It really changed how we all though about RPG games with the whole action/rpg elements combined. Really, a marvelous experience to be had.
Great game! One of my all time favorites. I always loved the BioWare RPGs so I had to check out this one when it came out and it was really a pleasure. I honestly, didn’t think that it could be better than the original. For me – 10/10, no questions asked.
It's my favorite sequel of all times, right next to the Knights of the Old Republic. I was always wondering why they didn’t just make this one instead of the new trilogy, but it’s not my problem I guess. So – this one is a really interesting one. It takes you back to the crazy world of Mr Shepard, a one man army in a quest of finding things out. I think they did a really good job in making this feel like the whole thing we did in the first game impacted the world we live in. It’s a sequel job made well! You should definitely check it out! And when it comes to the site – I had no problems, so yeah, it's cool.
The commander Shepard is back in the last of the great Mass Effect games. The other shall not be named. This is my favorite as it takes us to the new beginning, new ideas, new crazy world full of amazing possibilities. As every good sequel it takes you to the upgraded version with a new beginning and incredible idea on top of it. I like the fact that they really did some kind of Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica story type, where you are taken to the whole new world, but it connects to the overall story. The final may be disappointing but when we meet Shepard in the second game, you really can see how the whole story looks from his perspective. It’s a great game, I can safely recommend it to the fans of the series, and those who want to play probably the last classic RPG game in recent years. I liked it a lot and will surely replay this one few times at least. I got it here with the first one as well and was pleasantly surprised by the price and how fast it all came down. It’s a legit site, so no worries in this department.
